As a woman in the business world, I’ve encountered some major challenges when it comes to funding. Despite advances in gender equality, women are still not equally represented in the world of venture capital. That’s why I decided to take my message to the stage and speak at a TEDx event about what needs to be done to make sure women have equal access to funding. In this blog post, I’ll share my journey along with some tips for other women looking for funding. So read on – you never know what kind of difference you can make!
Why I decided to focus on funding for women
I was recently asked to give a TEDx talk on the topic of funding for women. This is something that I am passionate about and have been working on for many years. I decided to focus my talk on why I believe it is so important to invest in women-led businesses and organizations.There are many reasons why I believe that investing in women is important. Women are often the primary caretakers of children and families. They also make up a large percentage of the world's workforce. Despite all of this, women still earn less than men and are more likely to live in poverty.
Furthermore, research has shown that when women are given opportunities to earn an income, they reinvest a greater portion of it back into their families and communities. This results in a positive ripple effect that can lift entire communities out of poverty.
So, why aren't we investing more in women? One reason is that there is a lack of understanding about the potential impact of doing so. We need to do better at supporting and promoting women entrepreneurs if we want to see more progress in this area.
I hope that my TEDx talk will help raise awareness about the importance of investing in women and encourage more people to support women-led businesses and organizations. We need to close the gender gap so that everyone can benefit from a more prosperous future.

By giving my TEDx Talk, I was able to spread the word about funding for women, and help people understand that it is necessary if we want to make a real difference. It was an incredible experience, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to share my story with others.
